We are seeking a highly enthusiastic Cloud Engineer to work with our IT Operation team to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain our cloud-based solutions. As a top-notch Cloud Engineer at nanoString, you will follow best practices and company security policies, possess excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and be a consummate team player.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the development of Cloud automation and Integration solutions to establish CI/CD and DevSecOps processes in order to assist in the simplification of deployments- Create, configure and manage IAM users, RDS instances, Lambda, Kubernetes Clusters, Storage volumes, Networking, S3 buckets, AWS Direct Connect, AWS Transit Gateway, VPC, Route 53 and more- Refine infrastructure delivery strategies, standards, processes, technologies, and tools-
- Follow best practices for Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud security, and Network security- Develop in-depth knowledge of nanoString’s existing IT, cloud architecture/, in-house infrastructure and technology portfolios-
- Develop infrastructure as code, terraforming, and configuration of other advanced cloud services- Deploy cloud infrastructure under security best practices- Hands-on troubleshooting of Cloud infrastructure- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records

Required Experience and Skills:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and tools including Ansible and Terraform- Creating, deploying and managing kubernetes clusters- Competent with scripting languages including Bash and Powershell- Familiar with the continuous integration and continuous deployment mindset- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases- Strong system administration (Linux/Unix or Windows) at the command-line level- Strong experience with templates and other configurable items to enable automation

Target Base Salary Range:
$65K-85K
- Base salary is an integral part of NanoString’s total compensation package. Base salary considers an individual’s skills, experience, and competitive market value. The base salary range represent what NanoString pays for a job within a salary grade based on external market data in comparison to similar positions from other companies in our industry. Employees generally enter a salary grade at the lower-to-mid-point in the range. Other compensation elements include a discretionary annual bonus, incentive compensation for sales roles, Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grants for all new hires, comprehensive benefit plans and paid time off, including designated holidays
