Manager Underground Electrical

**About the role**

We are looking for **Manager UG Electrical & Instrumentation **to support the UG Mine Operation by leading the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) team. Leads a team of Maintenance Superintendents/ Supervisors and multi discipline asset management professionals to deliver and execute on the Asset maintenance plan for our Electrical and Instrumentation assets. Maintain the complete life cycle of assets by acquiring assets, assisting to commission assets, managing operations, maintaining assets (regulatory compliance), and disposal of assets.

Working 6 week on/ 3 week (during Covid 19 pandemic) off FIFO or 5 days on, 2 days off residential roster and reporting to the General Manager UG Operations, you will be:

- Contributing to the development and implementation of the safety culture for the UG E&I team,
- Be a champion of functional and process safety for UG E&I,
- Facilitating and leading the development, improvement and integrity of maintenance standards, including upskilling resources, tools and practices,
- Collaborating with key stakeholders and maintenance teams to improve asset maintenance efficiencies, reliability and work standards,
- Conducting maintenance performance assessments against relevant standards including coaching others in assessment and verification processes,
- Engaging with stakeholders to ensure onboarding and commissioning of new assets are managed and consistent with Oyu Tolgoi’s established standards,
- Developing key nationals in safety and asset management leading practices.

**What you will bring**
- Electrical Engineering degree qualification or suitable experienced with trade and asset management background,
- Previous expatriate and leading maintenance teams experience, preferably in a variety of mine sites across commodities,
- Good understanding of, and proven skills in work management process analysis and improvement as well as asset management fundamentals,
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to engage and build relationships across multiple layers of the organization from management to front line leaders and shop floor,
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team,
- Experience in the facilitation and implementation of improvement programs

- Experience in Process Hazard Analysis and functional safety management

**Where you’ll be working**

Oyu Tolgoi is an operating Copper / Gold open pit mine with a brownfields underground mining project. The site is located in the
