**The Role: Logistics Coordinator**
**The Location: Weston Chile office in Concepcion**
The incumbent has 3-4 years of logistics experience in Import and Export container handling, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment and eager to learn and grow with the company. You are flexible and adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role will require very strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, capability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines, and competence in handling large volume of work effectively and accurately. In addition, the incumbent possesses a great team spirit through effective collaboration. Your diligence, commitment, optimism and persistence gets the job done.
**Your Day-to-Day**:
**Main Responsibilities**
- Maintain communication with Ocean Carriers, NVOCC, Customs broker, warehouse and truckers as for status of import shipments
- Proceed container booking, track the cargo from start to finish and update shipment schedule & input necessary date in the system, and troubleshoot shipment activity as necessary.
- Contact overseas offices and/or vendors if necessary to obtain the necessary document and/or proper data.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries in an accurate and timely manner
- Establish, update and maintain shipping schedule for all shipments
- Prepare freight quotations in response to inquiries from the sales
- Prepare Customs documentation in compliance to import and export regulations, complete all other documentation that may be required such as Heat Treat Certificates, Lacey Act, and forms and reports related to U.S. softwood duties
- Maintain freight database with up-to-date information on quotes, rates and contacts
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments regarding all inbound shipments
- Audit, correct, adjust and modify freight invoices
- Prepare and process invoices and send shipping document to customers
- Maintain, update and customize department reports
- Ensure completion of all documentation to Customs
- Provide and ensure customer service and satisfaction both internally and externally through continuous follow-up, effective responses to requests, inquiries, concerns, and proactive measures that ensure a smooth and timely process for the shipments
- Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills on dealing with import issues
- Must have an open mind and show an ability to continually learn about our industry.
- Fulfill office duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, typing and processing letters, etc.,
**Credit**
- Ensure customers with credit before any container delivery
- Immediately run by management to make alternative plan if customer out of credit
- Ensure COD payments are arranged prior to delivery of product by faxing all applicable documentation to the customer (i.e. Proforma Invoice)
**Documentation, Reporting and Administration**
- Effectively organize, plan, and prioritize work to properly complete responsibilities and meet required deadlines
- Create, maintain, update, and customize department reports as applicable
- Exercise flexibility with respect to duties assigned and when communicating with and/or supporting colleagues and customers in different time zones
- Ensure good communication and follow up with internal and external people to provide a seamless order processing experience
- Support the business through participation and/or identifying and leading process and workflow improvement initiatives and special projects that may arise from time to time

**Must-Have**
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar environment
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with highly effective communication skills in general (oral and business writing)
- Adept with use of technology for better work efficiency and output
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Well-developed analytical skills with an ability to perform insightful analysis
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in an environment of shifting priorities
