Levita Magnetics is poised to transform mínimally invasive surgery, pioneering Magnetic Surgery® and recently launching MARS in the US and in Chile. We operate in a lean startup environment with a growing pipeline of new products.

We are seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to strengthen our R&D team. You will be responsible for developing safety-critical code that operates at core of the surgical robot You will support the current FDA-cleared product, and work on future software design iterations, preparing them for FDA submission and commercial launch.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop safety-critical, real-time, software solutions in C++ and Java to enable the safe and effective clinical operation use of the system.
- Research, develop and iterate on novel surgical robot algorithms related to motion and control.
- Maintain a complete and detailed documentation of the software stack.
- Develop analysis tools in Python to investigate system telemetry, replay cases and use a data-centric approach to optimizing parameters for future releases.
- Derive software requirements from clinical and business needs and manage their traceability through risk and verification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning Clinical, Program Management, Research & Development and Operations to collect feedback, identify solutions and prioritize work packages.

**Qualifications**:

- Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of total industrial and research experience.
- Experience in regulated industry (medical, aerospace, automotive, etc.) is an advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience developing in C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with one of the following is an advantage:

- Real-time OS (QNX, VxWorks, etc)
- Java
- DDS
- ROS
- Robotic kinematic chain analysis
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision[OC6]
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving.
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment with a hands-on, proactive approach
