Description :The primary purpose of this role is to partner in the development and execution of the Chile underwriting strategy and support to the Active Underwriter and the wider underwriting community across Everest Global Markets in its delivery.Core?Responsibilities: Produce, Underwrite and service accounts and to assist with property underwriting and departmental workflow systems, processes, and related issues as necessaryExpand the Property portfolio in line with controls, underwriting strategy, and guidelines, while always maintaining a focus on bottom line underwriting profit and deliveryResponsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key brokers and clients Underwrite and price Property risks, including all forms of distribution, and determine the acceptability of risks for underwritingBind various coverages subject to authority level and answer inquiries from producersPrepare quotations and formal proposals on new and renewal businessEnsure that documentation is completed timely and accurately according to standardsAssist Head of Property in addressing and resolving overdues, workflow, and various critical issues as necessaryEffectively communicate with management on all issues both within and outside the Unit as neededInteract and coordinate activities with other departmentsLiaise with other underwriting departments as necessaryRecommend new procedures and programs where warranted.Furnish intelligence on the Property market, including competitor strengths and weaknessesResponsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and / or carry out responsibilities and / or administrative activitiesDevelop business through execution of new ideas and strategiesAssist Head of Property in CAT managementAssist Head of Property in follow up UW performanceAssist Head of Property in commercial activity management and achievement of Property Department´s goals.Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or a related field4-10 years of property and/or energy underwriting experienceAdvanced English (required)Experience in shared and layered (preferred) insurance marketKnowledgeable about Catastrophe management and property policy wordings Outstanding interpersonal relationship building, employee coaching, and development skillsProficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant toolsOur CultureAt Everest, our purpose is to provide the world with protection.We help clients and businesses thrive, fuel global economies, and create sustainable value for our colleagues, shareholders and the communities that we serve.We also pride ourselves on having a unique and inclusive culture which is driven by a unified set of values and behaviors.Our Values are the guiding principles that inform our decisions, actions and behaviors.They are an expression of our culture and an integral part of how we work: Talent.Thoughtful assumption of risk.Execution.Efficiency.Humility.Leadership.Collaboration.Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.Our Colleague Behaviors define how we operate and interact with each other no matter our location, level or function: Respect everyone.Pursue better.Lead by example.Own our outcomes.Win together.All colleagues are held accountable to upholding and supporting our values and behaviors across the company.This includes day to day interactions with fellow colleagues, and the global communities we serve.Type:RegularTime Type:Full timePrimary Location:ChileAdditional Locations:
