As a follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of Hisgospel, model a full understanding of Young Life’s ministry strategyand equip and lead a team of staff in providing excellent campingexperiences for individuals to encounter Jesus Christ and know thetruth of God’s love for them.

**Mission &Authority**:
Through both continued training and direct experience,lead staff and prepare an environment where guests, staff andvolunteers are well cared for using the cornerstones of service, foodand systems. This is a role that oversees all of the Food ServiceDepartment; staff & development, buildings & equipment, administrativeneeds and food & menu planning.

**EssentialDuties**:
**Spiritual Formation**: _Intentionally provideopportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship withJesus._
- Participate in opportunities for growing deeper in yourrelationship with Jesus.
- With direction from supervisor, developan annual personal spiritual growth plan.
- Foster an environmentwhere department staff have opportunities for ongoing spiritualdevelopment, including execution of their personal spiritual growthplan.
- Establish a culture where the spiritual formation of FoodService volunteers is both a priority and responsibility for allmembers of the department.

**Attentive Hospitality**:_Equipservant leaders who anticipate and respond to the needs of our guests,staff and vendors through Christ-like service._
- Establish adepartment posture of service that anticipates guest needs andresponds with professionalism through intentional decisions andsystems.
- Direct the planning, developing and evaluation of themenu according to the Young Life Food Service standards.
-Anticipate and execute guest needs/requests in order to partner withour groups; meeting their needs and developing an environment whereguests are heard.

**Comprehensive Stewardship**:_Manage with integritythe finances, people, buildings and equipment that have been entrustedto our ministry._
- Manage with integrity the finances, people,buildings and equipment that have been entrusted to our ministrythrough Food Services.
- Develop and equip staff to participate incomprehensive stewardship of the Food Services Department.
-Maintain systems for inventory control over food, equipment and otherbudgeted items.
- Manage and lead the Food Services staff in foodcost tracking procedures and awareness of food costs impact on campfees and property budget.
- Cultivate an environment wherevolunteers feel valued both as contributors and aspeople.

**Talent Development**:_Through a consistent andaccountable evaluation process, we identify and provide opportunitiesfor staff in continuing education, leadership development,career-pathing and cross-training._
- Demonstrate a desire to growthrough engagement in the Individual Development Plan process andparticipation in training and development opportunities.
- Fosterdepartment staff participation in the Individual Development Planprocess as well as other training and development opportunities.
-Intentionally pursue opportunities in mission leadership, personalgrowth, and development.
- Establish and execute training forvolunteers, work crew, summer staff, and camp staff with visiontowards creating a pipeline for the mission.
- Perform yearlyevaluations for those responsible for supervising and ensure thosestaff participation in their IDP process.

- Lead department staff in the execution of dailyresponsibilities with attention to the standards and metrics requiredfor excellent camp operations.

- Exemplify Young Life Standards in the way you conductyourself with staff, guests and volunteers.

**TrainingExpectations**:

- Must obtain ServeSafe Certification within 6months unless already certified.
- Attend yearly departmentaltraining.
- Participate in monthly divisional videoconferences.
