1. Remain well versed in and practice all railroad and highway safety and operating procedures.
2. Perform a high quality Ultrasonic Test (UT) and maintain the skill, methods, and practices needed.
3. Supervise all crewmembers and ensure a high level of professionalism.
4. Maintain positive and constructive relations with the customer representatives in the field; must conduct themselves in a customer friendly manner.
5. Adhere to and execute instructions found in reference manuals as well as customer playbook.
6. Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of equipment.
7. Meet performance objectives set by Field Manager.
8. Partner with Assistant Operator to maintain 5S.
9. Produce all necessary paperwork including but not limited to, daily reports, maintenance reports, trip reports, etc.
10. Overall responsibility for the truck and all of its components.
11. Maintain a DOT logbook and timesheets.
12. Supervise the training of new employees under guidance of Training and Development Manager.
13. Report daily expenses and parts usage accurately.

1. Minimum high school diploma or GED. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical-related discipline preferred. Mechanical technical training a plus. Level I Ultrasonic Testing certification a strong plus.

1. Logged the required number of hours as a trainee as outlined by the FRA.
2. Qualified by a Supervisor and the Operations Manager.
3. Valid Driver's license preferred.
4. Class A or B Commercial Driver's License preferred.
5. Qualified in all safe operating practices as required by the company, railroad and other involved agencies.

1. Graduated from an approved course in the basics of ultrasonic technology; (UT Level 1 and UT Level 2) preferred.

1. Must be a team player and willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy in a safe and ethical manner.

Extensive travel within the continental United States but can include Canada & Mexico. Passport will be required for travel outside the US.
