About the Team / Position We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with experience to join our Data Platform team. As a key player, you will build and maintain scalable data platforms that inform fair and safe hiring decisions. Your work will directly impact next‑generation products backed by our centralized data platform. What You’ll Do Act independently, solve problems, and deliver high‑quality solutions with minimal supervision. Adopt a customer‑centric, product‑focused mindset; collaborate with stakeholders to clarify product ambiguities and deliver impactful features. Partner with engineering, product, design, and other teams to design and architect new capabilities. Apply an experimental mindset: autonomously validate customer needs, gain team buy‑in, and launch MVPs rapidly. Insist on quality as a core pillar of your software products. Use data‑driven insights to instrument and deploy new product experiments. Deliver high‑performance, reliable, scalable, and secure code for a highly scalable data platform. Monitor, investigate, triage, and resolve production issues affecting team services. Requirements Fluent English (reports to U.S. leadership and all technical interviews are 100% in English). Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. 6–7+ years of data engineering experience (5+ years writing PySpark). Experience building large‑scale data pipelines (hundreds of terabytes to petabytes) for batch and streaming jobs. Hands‑on ETL/ELT experience with large‑scale batch and streaming data processing. Strong mastery of PySpark, Python, and SQL. Proficiency in relational databases, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), data modeling, and database systems. Experience with big‑data technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, data lakes, and the AWS stack (EKS, EMR, Serverless, Glue, Athena, S3, etc.). Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy issues. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Experience Experience or knowledge of data processing platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake. Knowledge of graph and vector data warehouses (preferred).
