Investment & Financing Manager (Energy Storage & Power Plant Projects)

Design, optimize, and validate business models for energy storage (BESS) and new energy power plant projects in Chile and the South American market (e.g., PPA, Merchant+, capacity leasing, ancillary services). Build and lead the development of dynamic, full-lifecycle financial models for projects. Conduct sensitivity analysis and investment return calculations (IRR, NPV, Equity Payback) to provide core data support for project investment decisions, bid pricing, and equity structure design. Evaluate the impact of different capital structures (debt-to-equity ratios) on project returns and propose optimization recommendations. 2. Project Bidding & Transaction Support As a core member of the bidding team, be responsible for all financial and financing aspects of bid proposals, including but not limited to tariff analysis, financing plans, and proof of funding sources. Lead or participate in the negotiation and review of financial and financing terms in key project contracts such as investment agreements, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and joint venture agreements, identifying and mitigating financial risks. Be responsible for preparing and managing various bank guarantees required for projects, such as bid bonds, performance bonds, and advance payment bonds. Be responsible for the end-to-end execution of project financing, from formulating financing strategies and preparing financing packages, to engaging and managing potential financial institutions (including but not limited to local and international banks, multilateral financial institutions, export credit agencies, funds), until financial close. Lead the preparation of project information memorandums, data rooms, and financing presentation materials, coordinating support from technical and legal teams. Deeply participate in financing term negotiations, coordinate due diligence completion, facilitate the signing of financing agreements, and ultimately fulfill drawdown conditions to achieve project financial close. 4. Market & Relationship Management Conduct in-depth research on the energy and power market, financial policies, and regulatory environment in Chile and South America, providing forward-looking insights for business development. Establish and maintain long-term cooperative relationships with local and international financial institutions, investors, law firms, consulting firms, and other relevant entities. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the energy and power (new energy, energy storage, power plants) or infrastructure sector, focused on project development, investment/financing, financial advisory, or structured financing. Possess successful experience in leading or deeply participating in the financial close of large-scale projects from inception to completion, with familiarity of the full process and core documentation of project finance. Extensive experience in building financial models, conducting investment evaluations, and designing transaction structures, with expertise in project investment return analysis. Possess hands-on experience in directly negotiating with banks and financial institutions to secure financing, with familiarity of project guarantee systems. 2. Education & Language Master's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering (with finance focus) or related field preferred; holders of certifications such as CFA, MBA are advantageous. Fluent Spanish (business level), capable of independently conducting complex commercial and financing negotiations and drafting professional documents. Fluent English (business level), for internal company reporting, regional coordination, and communication with international financial institutions. 3. Knowledge & Skills Deep understanding of project finance theory, corporate finance, and economic evaluation methods for energy projects. Familiarity with the Chilean and South American financial markets; knowledge of ESG financing, green finance, or related products is preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to manage complex transaction processes under high pressure.
