Radio Frequency Optimization Engineer (Relocation to Spain) Reporting to the customer’s management team, this role focuses on optimising multivendor 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G sites to meet defined network quality targets while reducing optimisation‑related costs on the network. The position is responsible for initiating and delivering quality and performance programmes or activities aimed at continually enhancing the end‑customer experience. Main responsibilities: Produce radio optimisation plans to achieve quality targets for area of ownership Undertake proactive radio network investigations and support wide‑area projects Manage radio capacity within area of ownership, escalating where required for additional demand Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely delivery of data‑build against objectives Develop mitigation plans against identified risks and issues in coverage and performance Provide regular communication and reporting to the customer’s management on work‑stream progress, risks and issues Initiate and manage drive‑test requests, analysing and delivering recommendations or requirements while seeking to reduce activity Support key business objectives and programmes, including transmission product capability testing and release Work closely with end customers to ensure high‑quality experience against multi‑operator contractual commitments Support Corporate and Business Accounts teams in bid support and ongoing experience Take ownership and drive resolution of customer complaints and internal/VIP escalations, including analysis of complex data, network traces and cross‑functional working Identify faults, generate cases and drive resolution via Operations teams and suppliers Understand frequency, scrambling code and PCI planning and capacity planning Required experience, education & training: Fully competent with the customer’s radio planning and optimisation tools Subject‑matter expert in air‑interface parameters, propagation models, antenna systems, frequency planning and optimisation techniques on multi‑vendor equipment (Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Samsung – at least two) Fully competent with vendor OSS such as NetAct, Ericsson ENM and radio planning tools such as Atoll, iBwave, etc. Ability to analyse complex data, draw meaningful conclusions and understand commercial impact to the customer High level of computer literacy, including all MS Office applications Degree level education or equivalent (desirable) Minimum of five years’ experience in a senior optimisation role What we offer: Support with obtaining a work visa Growth opportunities – support for learning and career advancement Work‑life balance – flexible hours and hybrid work options Inclusive culture – a welcoming, diverse environment where everyone feels valued Generous time off Relocation to Spain is required for this position.
