The Role

As a Senior Cloud Architect at Kyndryl, you'll be the strategic technical leader bridging our organization and our clients. You'll drive cloud transformation initiatives from inception through implementation, working with stakeholders across client organizations, governance teams, and project executives. Your expertise in multi-cloud platforms and modernization will be crucial in designing and delivering innovative solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Lead large-scale cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution
  • Transform legacy applications into modern microservices architectures
  • Architect containerized solutions using platforms like Kubernetes
  • Develop cloud adoption frameworks and migration strategies
  • Guide technical decisions for cloud infrastructure, security, and scalability
  • Mentor teams on cloud-native development practices and DevOps methodologies

Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Extensive experience with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proven track record of successful large-scale cloud migration projects
  • Deep expertise in modernizing legacy applications to cloud-native architectures
  • Strong background in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices
  • Experience with cloud security, compliance, and governance
  • Solid understanding of data center infrastructure, including systems, storage, networking, and security
  • Expertise in distributed systems and solutions architecture
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Cloud certifications from major providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of API design and management
  • Serverless architecture experience
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Excellence in stakeholder communication and technical leadership
  • Experience leading architectural decisions in enterprise environments

This role offers extensive opportunities for advancement within cloud architecture and technical leadership. You'll have the chance to shape enterprise-scale cloud strategies, mentor other architects, and potentially advance to positions such as Principal Cloud Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Distinguished Engineer.

The role may require travel to client sites and offers opportunities to work on diverse, cutting-edge projects across industries. You'll be at the forefront of cloud innovation, helping organizations achieve their digital transformation goals through modern cloud solutions.
