The Business
Hamilton Mayer International is working with a growing North-American based construction business with revenues exceeding $3bn. This highly reputable general contractor continues to offer diversity across a number of market segments, including healthcare, higher education and commercial mixed use developments. This organisation is currently looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to provide professional leadership in the Florida Area.

The Role

• Responsible for all estimating functions that may be required during preconstruction including; value engineering, alternative and comparative studies.
• Help drive growth across the Florida region.
• Take lead role in Lump Sum, and design-build bids, ideally showing success in winning work in healthcare and higher education markets.
• Use of relevant estimating software requiring advanced analytical processes to ensure logically estimated costs are accurate.
• Derive systems quantities for Building Information Models (BIM) and other estimating software in order to provide complete estimate.
• Present estimate and participate in bid reviews overseeing a team of estimators for large, complex projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Key Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a construction related field is essential
• 10+ years of experience/knowledge of construction estimating
• Will have a vast background in with values circa $100m project estimating
• Must be familiar with hard-bid, design build and alternative delivery estimates
• Full proficiency in estimating software such as WinEst, OST, SmartBid, Excel and Word.
