The Role
To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service. Where appropriate, supervise clerical staff and provide support to line manager. Dealing with enquiries, either face-to-face or by telephone, from the general public, patients and external agencies.

What we'll need you to bring- Minimum of 2 years work experience in an Administrative and Clerical role.
- Educated to Higher Grade level.
- Ability to supervise staff.
- Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
- Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
- Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
- Or equivalent relevant NHS experience
- Experience of Excel Spreadsheets
- NHS Admin & Clerical experience
- Extensive knowledge of Trak Care, Clinical Portal, PRL Waiting List management
- PC literate, knowledge of Waiting List Operation, Appointment Booking
- Time Management Skills
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Fixed Term or Secondment For 2 years.
- Part Time
- 18.5 hours
- Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
- Please note this is a fixed term post for 2 years. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
This role will be based in Admin Department within University Hospital Monklands.
The working pattern for this role Monday-Friday.
