Position Overview We are seeking a Driven and Results-Oriented Retention Strategist to join our team. The Retention Strategist at Common Thread Collective (CTC) plays a critical leadership role in guiding our clients toward sustainable and scalable growth. This position is all about owning ensuring revenue is delivered predictably for the business through retention marketing efforts — using data-backed insights to build forecasts, shape strategic direction, and ensure consistent performance delivery. At CTC, your expertise is invaluable, covering the elements of CTC's strategic forecasting methods and the foundational principles of retention marketing. Responsibilities Lead customer retention strategy across email, SMS, direct mail, popups, push notifications, subscriptions, memberships, loyalty programs, and more. Own forecasting, build email forecasts, build and maintain the Prophit system for clients. Analyze metrics and KPIs, provide insights, recommendations, and tactical execution to meet projected targets. Collaborate with design, content, media buyers, and other teams to create compelling, on-brand email and SMS content. Oversee the execution timeline, ensuring timely delivery of campaigns and maintaining data integrity. Act as a trusted advisor to clients: communicate retention goals, provide daily performance updates, weekly Slack updates, and align strategy and forecast. Identify and implement best practices and new tools (e.g., memberships, quizzes, cart drawers, pop‑ups, etc.) to impact retention metrics. Monitor active campaigns, run tests, scale successful programs, and pivot as needed. Ensure technical setup of automation, campaigns, and other retention tools are correct. Collaborate with the Brain Trust to share learnings and contribute to company content. Monitor quality benchmarks and client satisfaction, keeping 100 % on‑brand deliverables. Qualifications & Experience At least 2 years in email and SMS marketing with proven execution across campaigns, automations, segmentation, and optimization. Minimum 2 years in retention marketing, owning initiatives that drive predictable revenue, customer lifetime value, and lifecycle improvements. Data‑driven mindset; experience building forecasts, analyzing data with tools such as Google Sheets or Statlas. Strong communication skills, fluent in English, with persuasive messaging and presentation ability. Autodidactic, curious, thrives in self‑managed environment, and displays resilience and adaptability. Experience with tools such as Prophet System, growth maps, and retention metrics dashboards. Showcase of Success & Growth Navigate the kick‑off period, deliver quality on time, and adapt quickly to feedback. Achieve early proficiency in CTC’s Prophit system and Email/SMS best practices. Meet performance benchmarks and client satisfaction rates above benchmarks. Contribute insights back to Brain Trust and company content. Earn performance bonuses tied to revenue targets. Salary & Compensation Days 1–30: $1.5 K (Part‑time transition phase) – daily training and shadowing. Days 31–60: $3 K – transition to full‑time and manage first 3 accounts independently. Days 61–90: $4 – 5 K + performance bonuses – continue portfolio growth. Annual contract negotiation; bonuses based on hitting revenue targets. Benefits & Culture Fully remote; flexible schedule.
