About the Position This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Reporting and Compliance Division and is located in Falls Church, Virginia; Galena, Ohio; San Antonio, Texas and/or Battle Creek, Michigan. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to the Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Recommend and manage implementation of systems changes for enhanced performance of the Defense Health Program's (DHP) multiple accounting systems. Evaluate the progress of Defense Health Agency (DHA) and Service Medical Activity (SMA) assertion status. Provide guidance and direction to the DHP expense cycle processes that impact DHP financial statements. Resolve internal control and financial reporting conditions related to the DHP expense cycle. Develop and implement the financial statement improvement plan. Requirements This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. This is a financial management Level 3 Certified position. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action. This position may require the incumbent to work weekends and/or holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr
