Then we have the opportunity for you We are looking to hire an ICQA Operations Manager to take ownership of our fulfillment centers Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. Our fulfillment centers sit at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing operations network, where we manage fast‑moving inventory. In each center, teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them and ship them out. These high‑speed environments require strict adherence to policies and procedures. As a leader, you will ensure that we deliver reliably to our customers while upholding customer obsession. Key Job Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of ICQA Area Managers and hourly Associates, including Team Leads and Data Analysts, assigned to inventory control, quality assurance and problem‑solving operations within the fulfillment center. Partner with Operations and other Support teams to establish, influence and adhere to policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with safety programs and SOX regulations. Analyze inventory defects, customer defect data and other problem‑solving data to identify corresponding action plans that improve quality. Conduct short‑term (weekly) and mid‑term (monthly/quarterly) labor plans, forecast capacity needs, staffing plans and schedules. Support interviewing and training of fulfillment center Area Managers. Day in the Life You will lead a department responsible for inventory control, quality assurance and problem‑solving operations. Your day typically starts with a meeting with the fulfillment center leadership team, reviewing the previous day’s performance and addressing ongoing issues. You then review inventory discrepancies and quality performance, analyze data for trends and opportunities for process improvement, and collaborate with your Area Managers, hourly Associates and partners in FC operations or central teams such as Catalogue, Procurement, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Loss Prevention and Program Management. You spend time on the floor observing processes and ensuring safety standards. You also dedicate time to developing your Area Managers through feedback and training needs. By the end of the day you’ll have contributed to maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving quality challenges and ensuring customer satisfaction. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Experience working on large assignments and driving project collaboration across different teams, businesses and stakeholders. Track record of implementing process improvements in a data‑driven and complex environment. Proficient verbal and written communication skills in German and English. Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment, and with quality assurance processes. Strong commitment to employee development, and an exceptional level of dedication and motivation for team management. Proven ability to influence peers or stakeholders across varying levels of seniority and within different organizations. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and familiarity with SOX compliance and inventory control systems. Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
