As part of a small, passionate team based remotely with founders in Seattle, LegalAtoms combines a startup mindset with real‑world social impact, focusing on understanding user challenges and delivering robust, scalable solutions that directly improve people’s lives. Your Role And Responsibilities You will work closely with the founders and cross‑functional team members to understand user needs and help build solutions that are reliable, user‑friendly, and scalable. You will take ownership of key features and drive them through the entire lifecycle, from design reviews through deployment and monitoring. You will deep dive into CloudWatch logs to fix and patch live production bugs. You will participate in rigorous code reviews to ensure rigorous code quality and standards. Skills And Experience Required Front‑end: Angular 19 (preferred) or solid React/Vue with TypeScript. Back‑end: Ruby 3, Rails 6, RSpec, Sidekiq, Puma. AI‑First Mindset: Use AI tools to enhance your learning and productivity. RTFM, Attention to Detail: Read the code, documentation, and issue descriptions thoroughly. A question should not be asked if the answer is already written down somewhere. Testing and Quality Focus: Commitment to code quality and resilience by writing unit and end‑to‑end tests. Communication: Clear and concise written communication, especially in asynchronous remote collaboration channels like GitHub, Slack, and Notion. Empathy and User‑Centric Mindset: A genuine desire to understand user challenges and contribute to a platform that improves access to justice for vulnerable populations. Adaptability and Drive: Enthusiasm to work in a fluid startup environment where priorities can shift rapidly. Ability to self‑manage and take ownership of projects. Preferred Qualifications And Nice‑to‑Haves Angular 19 and DynamoDB. AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, WindSurf and DevinAI. Experience working in legal or government technology domains. Experience with e‑filing or case management systems.
