Join our team as a Cloud Platform Engineer to manage, operate, and optimize cloud infrastructure primarily on Google Cloud Platform. You will handle provisioning, monitoring, governance, and incident resolution while improving operational processes. Responsibilities Provision and maintain Google Cloud Platform resources following best practices for scalability and security Collaborate on managing GKE cluster OS upgrades, container OS version libraries, and patching activities Execute cloud onboarding and infrastructure updates using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform Monitor logs and metrics proactively to identify and resolve performance and availability issues or upscale as needed Troubleshoot recurring cloud infrastructure issues and develop automation scripts and runbooks to enhance response times Assist in enforcing backup schedules and policies, validate backup restorations, and resolve backup‑related problems Support access management processes, troubleshoot permissions issues, and assist with tagging compliance for governance Implement automation for tagging enforcement and resource monitoring Work closely with client teams to resolve infrastructure‑related issues and provide timely operational insights Maintain and create knowledge management materials including operational manuals, runbooks, and scripts Requirements Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud environments with at least 2 years in provisioning and maintaining resources Experience with Infrastructure as Code development and maintenance using tools like Terraform Proficiency in cloud monitoring and troubleshooting performance or availability issues Knowledge of cloud governance processes, tagging frameworks, and access management principles Basic knowledge of containerized environments such as GKE and Docker, including patch management processes Strong problem‑solving skills with ability to collaborate effectively across teams Excellent communication and documentation skills for operational runbooks and processes We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunitiesEPAM Employee Groups Award‑winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn Seniority level Associate Employment type Full‑time Job function Engineering, Information Technology, and Business Development Industries Software Development, IT Services and IT Consulting, and Banking #J-18808-Ljbffr
