Responsibilities Build a collaborative partnership within your Scrum Team while being a technical advisor to the Product Manager Participate in the development, testing and deployment of software applications and solutions Champion a culture of code quality and continual learning and growth throughout the department Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality Use your analytical and problem‑solving skills for programming and user interface design Integrate technology, process, test and business practices Follow and improve the team’s Continuous Development and Continuous Integration practices Work with other team members to solve complex problems, including UX/UI designers, QA testers, and DBAs Troubleshoot issues and bugs within your application of expertise Author or contribute to technical design documentation, release notes, bug fix documentation Perform and design testing protocols to ensure that the product is fully tested Implement AI‑driven solutions to enhance software functionality, automate processes, and improve data analytics capabilities across tax compliance applications Qualifications 2‑3 years of proven success working in software engineering using Java and Spring Boot Strong experience with PostgreSQL Strong experience with AWS Experience with Docker/Kubernetes Experience working with REST APIs, Maven Front‑end experience with React is a plus Intermediate English skills Understanding of stored procedures, functions, user‑defined tables, and database structure such as keys, indexes, constraints and security Version control experience using Git/GitHub Ability to achieve results in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment Self‑motivation and ability to manage time and projects in a fully remote working environment Comfort working in an Agile development process Benefits Comprehensive Health benefits Meal Vouchers to assist with food expenses Bi‑Weekly Meeting Free Days Mentoring Programs Globally recognized Training and Development programs Sovos is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing an environment that celebrates diversity and where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and employees.
