Specialty Doctor - General Medicine (Anaphylaxis) Location: NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Scotland. We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Doctor to lead and develop adult allergy services focusing on anaphylaxis. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday while the position is a fixed‑term 12‑month post. Overview Anaphylaxis impacts 1 in 50 adults in the UK. This post offers an unrivalled opportunity to gain expertise in managing food, latex, drug and wasp/bee venom allergies within the only dedicated adult allergy service in Scotland. Responsibilities Provide clinical care for patients with anaphylaxis and related allergies. Develop and implement management strategies for food, latex, drug and wasp/bee venom allergies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialist nurses, dieticians and doctors. Educate and empower patients to achieve independence and reduce the risk of anaphylactic death. Qualifications Full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC). Completed at least four years of full‑time postgraduate training (or equivalent) with at least two years in a specialty training programme or registrar locum appointment.
