Remote Software Engineer (AI Code Evaluation) Join Braintrust as a Remote Software Engineer (AI Code Evaluation) and earn in USD while contributing to the development of next‑generation AI models. We are looking for Software Engineers across Latin America to help evaluate and improve code generated by Artificial Intelligence. Location: Remote (Latin America) – open to candidates in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, and other LATAM countries. Pay Rate: $15.00 – $32.00 USD per hour (rates vary by location and quality of work). Contract Type: Freelance / Flexible. Why Join? Flexible Schedule – work as much or as little as you choose. 20+ hours/week is suggested for significant returns, but you set your own availability. Remote & USD Pay – earn a competitive hourly rate in US Dollars from the comfort of your home. Cutting‑Edge Work – use your domain expertise to train LLMs to write better, safer, and more efficient code. Required Qualifications Professional experience: 2+ years of software engineering. English proficiency: professional written and reading skills. Technical skills: proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, etc.) and a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals. Code review skills: ability to describe, evaluate, and critique code logic and syntax in clear English. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. Experience with widely used frameworks and libraries. What You’ll Be Working On Our client has partnered with organizations to train AI large language models. You will act as a subject‑matter expert to ensure the AI creates high‑quality code. Evaluating Code Quality – review AI‑generated code snippets for accuracy, efficiency, and safety. Problem Solving – solve coding problems to provide “ground truth” answers for the AI to learn from. Optimization – refactor code to improve performance and scalability. Test Cases – write robust test cases to verify that code functions as intended. Documentation – write human‑readable explanations (in English) of how a piece of code works and why a specific solution is better. No previous experience with AI necessary You do not need to be an AI/ML expert. We need your coding expertise. You will receive detailed instructions and guidelines upon starting.
