We promise opportunities for innovation, growth, and success for those who join us on this exciting journey. ✈ Purpose Front line loss mitigation function providing governance and oversight over high risk accounts in Corporate and Commercial segments in compliance with local standards, policies and procedures and in conjunction with BNS regional strategy as per IB SAM guidelines. Manage watchlist and problem loan portfolio to diligently mitigate losses and recommend provisions/write-offs for non-performing loans. Provide expertise and knowledge across the Bank through guidance and advice to Banking and Risk teams. Responsibilities 1. Provide Expert Advice Identify risks promptly and align strategies between SAM, Banking, and Credit to maximize recovery. Normalize client situations or lead negotiations for restructurings/legal actions to minimize losses. Recommend credit process improvements to prevent bankruptcies or portfolio losses. Advise on Shadow accounts and collaborate with Banking for optimal solutions. Manage borrower and lender relationships, liaising with legal/financial advisors as needed. 2. Risk Assessment and Compliance Apply the Bank’s risk culture and appetite in daily decisions. Recommend provisions/write-offs for non-performing loans to reflect credit risk accurately. Maintain updated reviews and action plans, managing short- and long-term strategies. Ensure proposals reflect debtor risk and meet committee standards (local and GRM). Evaluate financial/non-financial risks and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Define and execute action plans to control risk and maximize recovery. Oversee judicial collection processes with internal/external lawyers to minimize losses. Ensure data accuracy in reports and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Credit to meet compliance metrics and KPIs for the loan portfolio. 4. Team Management Promote a high-performance culture with the Team Lead/Director. Implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent. Foster an inclusive environment aligned with vision, values, and business strategy. Support team development through mentoring, coaching, and training. Requirements Minimum 7 years of banking experience related with financial entities or the industry. Advanced level of English. Experience leading teams.
