Local Division Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.

The work model for the role is: {hybrid} {#LI-Hybrid}

This role will contribute to the Motion business area, in their System Drives division. Mainly focused in Chile, this role will lead and drive projects within the Latin American region related to Motion System Drives. Your main stakeholders will include all internal areas, like Procurement & Logistics, Operations, Bidding, Sales, and the ABB Factories, among others; as well as external clients.

You will be mainly accountable for:
Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies.
Monitoring and controlling project progress effectively and efficient resource utilization, as well as project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.

Qualifications for the role
  • You have proven experience and a fruitful trajectory in Project Management, mainly from the mining or industries sector, and managing projects with considerable amounts of investment.
  • You possess a PMI certificate for Project Management or are undergoing further training to certify, or are well versed in an Agile methodology for Project Management.
  • You have experience leading multiple projects and teams, as well as for wide range of stakeholders.
  • You possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, or extensive experience as a Project Manager for the productive or industrial segments.
  • You can communicate with ease in Spanish (being either a native or fluent speaker), as well as can hold meetings and conversations fluently in English (advanced level).
  • You are an extroverted, team oriented person, capable of leading by influence and example, as well as driving a positive team environment and workplace.
