Role Summary:
As a QA Engineer, you will support in the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures. This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You'll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites and supplier facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with production to plan and execute incoming and production controls.
- Manage relationships with customers or third party inspectors.
- Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
- Monitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective corrective actions where appropriate to correct deficiencies and achieve agreed targets.
- Manage customer site inspections.
- Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify issues for management and stakeholders on the quality status of a process or product.
- Raise awareness among the leadership community about opportunities that have been discovered or developed and how to take advantage of them.
- Collaborate with the department or other departments in the company to clarify / resolve technical issues related to QC activities.
- Provide all documents as per QAP to the customer after coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or (Maintenance, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical) and 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, Pumps knowledge preferred.
- Engineering experience, utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO Standards;
- Experience as an internal auditor;
- Experience in one manufacturing environment and pumps, pump repair.
- Experience in the quality control department.
- Understanding of product / process flow
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
