ZeroFox delivers proactive external cybersecurity to outfox the adversary and disrupt, identify, and dismantle threats outside the traditional corporate perimeter.


The ZeroFox Platform combines advanced AI-driven analysis to detect complex threats on the surface, Deep, and Dark Web with fully managed threat intelligence services and threat analysts who become an extension of your team - all while providing automated remediation to effectively disrupt threats.


Within this role as a Threat Intelligence Engineer, you will join ZeroFox's Dark Ops Research & Innovation (DORI) team: a small group of skilled researchers, engineers and intelligence specialists who dedicate themselves to protecting customers by conceptualizing and developing new and novel methods of tracking and disrupting social and digital-based threats under the "Dark Ops'' umbrella.

If a solution to a problem doesn't exist, you will help to make one You will be responsible for helping to develop many of the projects and solutions conceptualized by the team, and make it "prod ready" to feed into the core product.

You will work directly with the Lead of DORI to operationalize and scale research and proof of concept code for outward and inward facing customers, as well as create tools to streamline processes.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Engineer new and novel methods of tracking, monitoring and disrupting threat actors and their activities
  • Experiment with a multitude of different technologies, programming languages and tools to develop proof of concepts
  • Work with other teams at ZeroFox to identify and improve internal processes and tooling
  • Manage and curate data and indicators required to power inproduct threat protections

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Track history of working autonomously within an engineering or development role
  • Proficiency in using programming languages (Python, Javascript, Go, PHP) to create tools and automate processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Experience of managing projects and own workload

Desirable skills:

  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure including AWS and Hashicorp stacks
  • Good technical writing and communication
  • Proven trackrecord of managing and executing on short and long term projects
  • Track record of building tools for internal and external use, open source contributions are a plus
