Product Owner Career

Whether you started from the product side and developed technical skills or started as a technical resource, you have a knack for the product side of the business.
You possess the necessary technical product knowledge to drive strategic conversations about the product and enhance value to Equifax and its customers.
Equifax is seeking a technical product owner who is a master at bridging the desires of the customer and the capabilities of the technology, removing barriers to software development.
You will be responsible for grooming the product backlog and have insight into technical requirements of individual stories thus creating a more efficient user experience.
In this case your users are the development teams building business capabilities, and your product (Cloud Service Packs) is designed to enable them to deliver those capabilities faster by using new Cloud Services that are already ready for use and approved by security, ready to deliver using the Certified Pipeline and integrated with the Compliance Automation Program.
What You'll Do
- You will serve as the conduit between user needs, technical capabilities, and engineering requirements, developing these into roadmaps and requirements for the Agile backlog of a development team
- You will lead the backlog refinement of features and user stories and ensure delivery teams are prepared to meet sprint deadlines
- You will work with others on a daytoday basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisions
- You will have daily interaction with the teams building the products
- You will focus on product level impediments and process changes to enable faster and higher quality software
Must Haves
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent job experience required
- 3+ years' in experience managing product backlogs and requirements for Agile delivery teams in a Product Owner capacity
- You are skilled at removing roadblocks
- You have experience delivering products using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- You possess a deep understanding of web service technologies, user interface/interaction, and knowledge of Systems Development and Project Management lifecycles
- Familiarity with workflow tools like Jira, and Backlog Management in tools like Aha
- Abel t communicate clearly in the written word, developing documentation in Confluence or similar tools that can be helpful to others
- Ability to document user requirements in use cases aligned with product capabilities
- Skilled in interdepartmental coordination, this role coordinates priorities across technology alliances and security, developing a backlog to satisfy interdepartmental concerns
- Ability to learn and articulate new concepts and technologies quickly. This role will be working with the latest in Cloud Provider Services, often before they are fully GA (General Availability)
- Knowledge of Cloud Provider Services and how they are leveraged to create business capabilities
- Preferred knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation and scripting
- Preferred knowledge of Policy as Code and automated compliance
