What will you be doing?

  • Maintenance of Facilities/Infrastructure:
  • Conduct moderately challenging preventive and corrective maintenance inspections on-site.
  • Carry out moderately difficult repairs, maintenance, installations, and inspections on-site for facility systems; support energy efficiency measures.
  • Monitor the Building Management System (BMS), troubleshoot moderately difficult alarms requiring judgment to resolve following standard operating procedures.
  • Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and security systems.
  • Manage critical infrastructures under the supervision of senior technical staff.
  • Typically receive minimal daily guidance, general instructions on newly assigned tasks.
  • Vendor Support:
  • Assist in the work approval process for service providers on moderately challenging maintenance tasks, ensuring work progresses smoothly: report at work initiation, during work shift, and final review of work completed.
  • Ensure vendor maintenance activities adhere to Equinix's standard operating procedures.
  • In collaboration with vendors, support modifications to technical plant and equipment files, ensuring records and constructions are up to date.
  • Site Management and Incident Support:
  • Handle moderately challenging site recordkeeping for permits, such as Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs) and scripts.
  • Identify Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) and provide recommendations.
  • Respond to all moderately difficult on-site incidents, including failures, issues, and delays.
  • Apply substantial understanding to follow operational procedures in supporting on-site management.
  • Work Orders and Additional Projects:
  • Complete routine work requests and circuit installations.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain office equipment (if necessary); support auxiliary equipment and machinery with issue resolution and repairs to prevent/minimize downtime.
  • Make minor changes to mechanical, electrical, and specialized systems, as instructed.
  • Undertake infrastructure projects.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with others to resolve moderately challenging facility incidents.
  • Effectively collaborate within the department; may advise team members on general maintenance activities.
  • Provide stakeholders with inventory needs to maintain optimal stock levels of critical parts and equipment.
  • May recommend infrastructure projects.

What do you need?

Technical or Professional Diploma in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC field.

Ideally, 2 to 3 years of equivalent work experience.

Available for rotating morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
