About the Role:


Reporting into the TROC (Technology Remote Operations Centre) Superintendent, you will be the service management operations responsible and first point of contact for Production System Technology incidents.


Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Lead major incident management (MIM) process across the incident lifecycle.
  • Act as a Major Incident Coordinator.
  • Lead the technical bridge orchestrating the stakeholders and resolutions teams focusing on prompt incident resolution.
  • Assess and authorize raised major incidents defining their priority.
  • Assess and authorize implementation of emergency changes
  • Communicate and document the progress of the major incident advances to the stakeholders.
  • Ensure the correct incidents documentation by the incident and problem resolution teams.
  • Escalate the incidents based on SLA.
  • Follow up root cause analysis (RCA) investigation and problems resolution corrective actions.
  • Ensure that major incidents lessons learned are correctly documented, shared, and included as part of the operations teams BAU activities.
  • Track main operational Technology KPIs; MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
  • Promote the prompt resolution of incidents via workaround.
  • Coordinate and support troubleshooting activities.
  • Interact with technical stakeholders, L2/L3 support teams, and Global resolution teams.
  • Follow up minor incidents resolution ensuring they are properly closed within SLA.
  • Lead proactive monitoring & event management to maintain critical production systems availability.
  • Focus on continues improvement management and knowledge management.
  • Rapidly provide breakfix solutions or escalate to support teams to restore production system availability following outages.
  • Safe execution of planned work to deploy Production Systems technology changes & enhancements.
  • Engaging sites and TROC operation stakeholders during events, incidents, and changes or planned maintenance activities.
  • Execute Service Management operational processes to drive consistent execution for the entire scope of Production Systems Operations accountabilities.

About You:

You will be an excellent team player who can also work in a stand-alone capacity.
Your oral and written communication skills well developed, and you will be able to work
collaboratively and build relationships at all levels.

possesses excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills (Including root
- cause analysis), with the ability to coordinate teams in the incidents resolutions,
prioritizing effectively in a high-pressure environment. Familiarity with work
management is advantageous, as is experience supporting or implementing
continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Tertiary qualification or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Networking, Applications, or related discipline (or an equivalent level of industry experience in a large enterprise environment) or exceptional experience in IT/OT mining environment leading large operational teams.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in similar roles is required.
  • IT Infrastructure Library, ITIL V3 or higher certification is required.
  • Technical experience in Fleet Management Systems, Mining Safety Systems, Fixed Plant Control Systems, Network Administration and Production Automation will be highly regarded.
  • Technical experience in the installation, configuration and support of end user equipment.
  • Experience interacting with different lines of service and internal/external resolver groups.
  • Experience in industrial environment (networks, servers, control systems, instrumentation)
  • End user skills level for DCE, Solarwinds, Magnet, Dynatrace, Splunk or other monitoring tools.
  • Syslog and event management for Microsoft.
  • Information security best practices experience, ISO27001, ISO27002, COVIT, NIST understanding.
  • ISA95 foundations understanding.
  • Fluent verbal and written English.

Desirable:

  • CCNA or CCNP certification.
  • Radio Trunking Motorola P25 background.
  • Experience in wireless networks; Masterlink, Cisco Mesh, LTE.
  • General background in autonomous mining fleet (related) implementation
(Trucks and Drills) based on Komatsu, Caterpillar and Epiroc solutions.
