• About the Role
• The purpose of this role is leads a team focussed on the provision of project services (e.g. scope, estimated/actual cost, planning and scheduling, budgets, changes, progress and forecasting) to influence the ontime and onbudget delivery of project objectives. Coaches and develops team leaders / teams to deliver high performance.
• Identifies opportunities to optimise value, manages associated risks and applies Optimised With/Optimised Without framework principles to create and preserve maximum value from projects across BHP.
• Defines project objectives/schedules, identifies critical activities, monitors the project plan/schedule and drives continuous improvement initiatives across projects at BHP.
• Monitors and manages project performance to deliver projects in line with safety standards, requirements, budget and scope.
• Develops, predicts/forecasts and benchmarks project costs and estimates in line with industry standards, principles and practices.
• Develops safe project delivery and contractor performance strategies to maximise portfolio value and enhance improvement and innovation.
• Plans, structures and develops technical reports that are clear to both technical and nontechnical audiences to deliver clear conclusions and recommendations.
• Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Plans, tracks the delivery of and manages a project to generate value and drive the achievement of project outcomes.
• Conducts presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.
• Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.
• Designs and implements governance/assurance practices and Management of Change procedures to control value outcomes across BHP.

About You

• A Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Business, Quantity surveying or related/relevant discipline.
• Previous experience within a similar role in Study and/or Execution will be highly regarded.
• A demonstrated understanding of principles and governance in Project PC&A Services subfunctions of risk management, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, cost engineering, and project controls., risk and assurance and project information management.
• Demonstrated leadership and cultural development of teams enabling high performing outcomes in PC&A.
• Exceptional communications skills with the ability to influence across various functions and levels.
• Orientation to promote an environment of respect and wellbeing is a must.
• Availability to work on site and/or in Santiago when appropriate.
