Food Technologist

Working in a collaborative team environment, IFF will be looking for you to drive innovation and creativity to assist our customers in enhancing existing product lines and in launching new cutting-edge product initiatives.

About You:

In this role you will serve as a lead technical contact for understanding and facilitating technical execution at the customer and global basis, liaise with IFF Global and Regional Commercial Managers, IFF Global and Regional Technical Leads, IFF Innovation Program Directors and Global Technology Leads at key accounts. 

As Food Technologist, your responsibilities are…

• Act as a partner to the Global Executive Directors key account and other customers and be the Global Technical Lead to support the aspirational growth of key accounts ,
• Develop, implement and execute technical programs in alignment with the account's strategy to research and provide the tools to grow IFF share.
• Cement a long-term viable business relationship in order to achieve IFF's corporate vision for global snack accounts.
• Build technical to technical relationships with key decision makers to navigate the customer technical culture.
• Liaise, partner and collaborate with key Global Accounts, Applied Research teams.
• Test and validate potential flavor technologies for snacks and in dough applications and bases.
• Provide feedback and guidance to Innovation Program Director’s and R&D to expedite deployment and availability of tools and solutions.
• Work with the Global Technical Lead to deliver innovation, productivity and technologies to the IFF creative team and customer.
• Educate the IFF Value Added Seasonings (VAS) community to facilitate growth within this category.
• Have the ability to work independently in applications and project planning, seamlessly integrating creativity, innovation and presentation skills to provide best in class support to IFF clients. 

Required Skills 

• Able to establish and guide cross functional teams focusing on product, project or innovation development
• Guide organization to build and employ regional toolbox of validated technologies for application and extrusion design.
• In concert with GTL, centralize project coordination and ownership
• Guide and collaborate with other IFF technical labs to deliver on flavor requirements and flavor application
• Work effectively  hands-on level as required and provide leadership to assigned project teams to ensure highest win rate possible by testing and validating key technologies in application and facilitating solution to the creative teams in all regions and markets.
• Knowledgeable with commercialization/scale up of seasonings and flavor systems
• Provide leadership to bring knowledge and visibility to best practices to development , address efficiencies, and ways of working and leverage flavors , applications and knowledge for global and regional projects..

Required Experience 

• Minimum 10 years’ working experience in industrial food pharmaceutical ingredient or flavor industry and 5 in the specific field of expertise i.e. snack, in dough extrusion
• Academic Qualification / Background Essential: Minimum entry level a BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related disciplines
