**Regional Director of Data Center Operations, LATAM**
The **Regional Director of Data Center Operations, LATAM** will maintain, control, and manage data center technical operations within their region. This position requires **prior data center operations experience** and reports to Director of Operations, US East and LATAM.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Executing scheduled preventive maintenance activities, performing unscheduled maintenance, and supporting any customer requests
- Manage facility expansions and improvement; to include new cross-connect or other fiber installations, new MEP capacity expansions and new customer installations
- Achieving a high level of customer service by successfully maintaining and expanding existing data centers
- Support the planning, design, implementation, and operation of new data centers in the region
- Plan and implement any customer installations and change requests
- Maintain and manage capacity information (infrastructure and technology)
- Actively partner with internal business functions to deliver new capabilities and services
- Document and implement best practices for DCM
- Ensure all policies, procedures and systematic controls are adhered to that are required for our Data Center Certifications and Compliances such as SOC 2, HIPPA, PCI DSS, Information Security Management System (ISMS) for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 21007)
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Understanding of data center infrastructure, UPS, Generators, Batteries, and HVAC is a **must**:
- Strong business analysis and design skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables
- Superb ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities
- Superb ability to meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance/input from peers
- Strong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups; can cover all gamut of tasks required to ‘getting a job done’
- Strong attention to detail
**Experience/Education**
- 10+ years of experience in **Facility operations or engineering functions**:
- **Significant Data Center operating experience**, to include detailed knowledge of UPS/PDU/CRAC/Generator and Security systems
- Experience with multiple PM cycles for Data Center equipment
- Experience with trouble ticketing systems and troubleshooting of computer equipment
- Able to effectively manage, supervise, and evaluate contract technical labor
- Able to recommend improvements to dispatch and reporting processes and systems used for contract technical labor
- Experience implementing and monitoring required Data Center Security Certifications
**Travel**
Since the facilities are regionally distributed, the Director will be required to travel to current and other facilities that we build in the future. We expect up to 50% travel for this role.
