Job Overview

The Science Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for supporting science faculty in setting up and taking down labs, as well as maintaining a safe and orderly laboratory environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Clean glassware and equipment, and maintain an organized laboratory space.
  2. Prepare equipment and chemicals for lab setup, and assist with lab tasks as requested by faculty.
  3. Perform periodic inventory of supplies and equipment, and work with supervisors to order consumable materials.
  4. Work with supervisors and faculty to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable guidelines.
  5. Perform clerical work associated with laboratory facilities, including completing timesheets in a timely manner.
Requirements
  1. Experience working in a science laboratory setting.
  2. Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and ability to support the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives.
Compensation

$15.00 per hour, with a schedule based on class hours up to 28 hours per week.
