**Responsibilities of the role**:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems using Python and DBT.
- Build and optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Implement best practices in data engineering, including code review, testing, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide ongoing support for existing pipelines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure, including the evaluation and implementation of new tools and technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and technical skills.
**Skills**:
- 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
